Halloween has been really fun this year. For family home evening before Halloween we went and picked pumpkins and the took them to Misty's house to paint them the kids had a blast with the paint brushes. luckily they didn't get it all over them.
Halloween was really fun. He even picked his own costume. He tried it on in the store and then wouldn't let go of it even for the lady to scan. After we got home he even laid down on the couch with it. I had to draw the line at sleeping with it because it has straps. We had our Halloween on the 30Th. Gene didn't want to get out of the wagon, but then we told him that is he did he would get CANDY and bam he was out and running up to the door to get his candy. He would of course just stand there holding his bag expecting to get more and more candy from the same house. One lady said "OK because your so cute" and gave him another piece. We really didn't think that he would get into it this year but it was so fun watching him trick or treat.
The trunk or treat was on the 31st were we also had a chili cook off. John decided to create a spicy chili. LOL it was really good but really spicy, it was fun to watch all the people try it and when see their faces heat up.
Ill post a slide show of all the pictures. you will get to see how much Gene likes his Junk food.(not that he gets it very often).

Sounds like fun. I wish I could have seen Gene holding on to his costume. It sounds like a very cute moment.
How adorable that must have been to have Gene like his costume so much. I can just see him laying on the couch with it on. Thank you for making such a nice slide show. Fun to see the trick or treat and other pictures.
I'm glad that Gene got the hang of trick or treating. That is funny that he didn't even want to let go of it for the lady to scan.
