Gene's first real booboo

Well I guess Gene thought he was a monkey because he was swinging from two chairs and fell on his face. He was a good sport though and only cried for a little bit. Poor baby. I know this is only the beginning of these little incidents. :)

Sunday fun!

Every Sunday we go over to Misty's (john's sister) and we have diner and the kids play. This Sunday they really enjoyed making marble art. You just get a box, put a piece of paper(taped) and paint and a couple of marbles. Zion really got into turning the box from side to side. The pictures actually turned out pretty neat.

Church Christmas Party!!

Well mom I'm finally going to post pictures of the ward Christmas Party.

This years theme was a night in Navoo and so the period dress was for the 1850's. I decided to once again attempt to make outfits for everyone. It was a little more challenging this year because my sewing machine died on me at 11pm the night before the party, I had made all the dresses but not the boys pants or the bonnets and aprons. About 3 hours before the party started Misty came over and helped me Hot Glue the bonnets and aprons together.....let me just say that we finished just in the nick of time and everything turned out wonderfully. thx Misty. Although it took a lot longer to glue everything it still turned out.

Zion's B-day!

Zion turned two back on December 20th but I feel that I need to blog about it. Zion had a wonderful birthday party with Gene, Meah, and Ella. He really got into opening his packages this year. 

Fun stuff about Zion.

-He still loves to play with balls

-Gene and Zion can play together for longer periods of time

-He has started to talk and his vocabulary is growing everyday

-He loves his teacher at the daycare center

-He loves to draw, color and glue projects

-He has turned into a picky eater, but we are working on that

-still weighs about 25 lbs and is 35 inches tall

-He is very active and loves to follow Gene around

-He copies everything that Gene does for good or for bad

-He is very loving and smiles all the time(happy face)

-His laugh is contagious and his smile melts my heart

-Sleeps in a big boy bed and is doing GREAT

-He is almost ready to be potty trained, he tells me when he's going

We are great full to have Zion in our family 

Elijah and solids

Tonight I've finally started to feed Elijah some rice cereal. He didn't really know what to think about it but we'll keep working on it. I have been putting it off because I have been so busy, but every time we sit down for dinner he sits at the table in his bumbo and watches us. Lol it's pretty cute how he will watch the fork make it's way to your mouth;) the wait is over Elijah you can start eating now.




I don't think any actually made it "in" his mouth. Lol
