Grandma visits

It was so fun to have my mom come visit us in Ohio. We had lots of fun including fixing up my kitchen. I love it! Also while she was here we blessed Ammon and had the 4th of July.

Elijah turns 2

I'm so mad at myself. I had written a nice blog about his birthday and it didn't post and now I can't find it. I'll just have to do the best I can to remember what awesome stuff I wrote. Lol

Well Elijah made it to 2 years old last month. He is such a sweet boy but also the biggest handful so far. He is very head strong. It's his way or no way. So needless to say he cries a lot. :-) for example of he wants. Drink and you hand him a water bottle with the lid off he will pitch a HUGE fit and possibly throw it back at you (which has only happened once because I can read him better now) he wants to be the one to take it off "like and big boy"
He talks a lot but but I can hardly understand any of it. But he understands a ton and knows exactly what's going on. He loves to wrestle with Gene and Zion all the time and it drives me nuts but I guess that's boys for you, and I better get used to it. Elijah is luckily very very good with Ammon. He enjoys giving him kisses and patting his back to burp him. I love this sweet little boy so much even though sometimes he's more than I bargained for.

for Elijah's birthday party we filled up 200 balloons and put them on the trampoline to pop. My mom and the kids and I had a blast filling them all up. We were all soaked by the end lol

The coolest thing ever

This is the coolest thing I have seen and it's so simple. All the toothbrush holders I have seen only have spots for 4 toothbrushes and even those don't accommodate the kids toothbrushes. So I found these on amazon and they are so neat and cheap. So far it has fit every toothbrush we have. Just search for toothbrush holder.

1 month old!

Wow I can't believe it's been a month already. Time is flying by. I love new born babies. They are so sweet and well NEW. Ammon is already sleeping 6-8 hour stretches at night which has been really nice for us. He was doing that (4-6hours) off and on after the first week but has been pretty consistent for the last week. With a super rough start to nursing he has finally gotten it down(thank goodness) and I am beyond happy. He eats about 7 times a day. Having 4 kids 5 and under is still pretty surreal and at times overwhelming. I am so thankful for the daycare so I can get a break and special time with Ammon. I also enjoy not grocery shopping with 4 kids lol. The other boys are enjoying the new addition. Gene is really happy that I can jump on the tramp with them again. He doesn't want another baby after Ammon because it means I can't play as much. Lol





I do feel bad that the only pictures of Ammon we have are all taken on my phone oh well that's better then nothing.

John half marathon

Well I'm proud of John for running another half marathon. And he actually trained somewhat for this event. He ran at least once a week up to 8 miles. The last time he ran he got 2:51 (close enough) and this year he got 2:26. Still not as fast as my 2:13 but he did run each mile 2 min faster. We are both getting excited about the half on September and both hope to get under 2:00. So it's some stick dieting for the next 4 weeks and then I get to start working out.

Welcome Ammon!

Welcome Ammon Gregory Whitacre. Born @8:40am 9 lbs 5 oz, 22 inches long.

This was by far the easiest birth experience I have had so far. My epidural didn't even hurt!! We are both doing great and at his 1 week appointment he was already above his birth weight @ 9 lbs 8 oz. it is really nice to finally have a robust little fellow. It's like having a baby that 1 month old instead of 1 week old (compared to his brothers sizes')






That's one happy bunch of boys!!






I have to admit though it has been a very hard transition for me to have 4 kidos instead of 3. Atleast he didn't have his usual 3 hour awake period in the middle of the night last night

Pregnancy is going fine. I have been having a lot of hip pain with this one though and have a hard time sleeping without waking up to my hip I'm laying on and legs cramping and numb. So to fix that problem I added another 4" of mattress topper to. My side of the bed(mattress pad for the new babies crib). It has worked wonders and I am able to sleep again which is great! So if you girls ever have that problem that's an excellent solution for ya!

Easter

Well Easter was a lot of fun. We had a fun family get together and an Easter egg hunt for the kids.





When the sun is bright outside Zion closes one eye. Lol cute.



Elijah enjoyed himself. Did quite get the concept but loved the candy inside the eggs so that kept him motivated. Lol.

My birthday!!

Well I had a pretty fun Birthday yesterday. John surprised me with a day off from cooking and took me to look at some puppies. We had to put OSA down due to a inoperable cancerous tumor the size of her heart on the inside if her chest. We ended up getting a Belgium Malinois. (mal-in-wah).

She is 10 weeks old and I think we are going to name her lunatic and call her Luna. She will be a really good family dog/ guard dog. Gene is excited to have a dog that will play fetch until his arm falls off.
We had a fun party that night with an ice cream cake from DQ. It was yummy.

Well we have been having crazy weather here in Ohio. We have weeks where the high is 60 and then other days that week it will be below freezing. Well this day was beautifully perfect. About 60 no wind and sunny. One of the favorite things the boys like to do is jump on the trampoline. Even Elijah loves it. They can wrestle and jump and get their energies out.






If I look tired. I am.


This one looks like I'm giving Gene an wet willy. His face goes perfect.

Just a quick fun post about Elijah. He loves to eat cereal. He will make these noises when he eats it as if it were pure bliss. He is such a monster sometimes that you forget the sweet moments when he's happy lol.



This is his forth helping. When he wants more he pushes his bowl to me and says mooooor.

Happy birthday John!

John turned 32 today! He wanted blackberry cupcakes instead of cake. They were Devine. Happy birthday honey. And yes he ate all 6 cupcakes.

Dinosaurs!!!

Two Saturday's ago we took the kids to "discover the dinosaurs" in Dayton. For those of you that don't know Gene loved dinosaurs and of course Zion is right behind Gene loving them too. After waiting in Line for an hour we finally got inside. They had some pretty neat displays and the boys loved it. Even Elijah was pointing and grunting. Sorry about the picture quality we forgot our camera and had to use cell phones.
































This guy tries to give Elijah a high five but he lost it and started screaming like the guy was scary lol. Funniest thing ever.




Probably one of the favorite things there. Elijah would growl at anyone who would come close and then would give them the evil eye.

Snow

Finally we had snow. Only about an inch but it was enough for John to take the kids sledding. (not enough for the big sled though). Aunt Misty and the girls also came too. Gene and Zion always have a blast and John loves it because Gene can walk up the hill with no complaints. Zion is still riding the sled down AND up lol. The first thing that comes out of their mouth when they get home is "is the hot chocolate ready". I can't wait to get more snow so then they can use the big sled.

Johns eating competition

We went to Columbus to watch kai's soccer game and ended going to a hot dog place after wards. I think it was one mad dog or something like that. Anyways no one has been able to complete this eating challenge and since John was going to get the hot dog he decided to get a drink fries and ice cream for $5 more. I think it was a 24 inch hotdog( really thick) with 5 toppings, 2lbs of fries and cheese also a huge dog bowl size if ice cream. It was a lot of food.



This is at the beginning. All smiles. They made a huge deal and took pictures and had a timer (30min) and everything.
