Mom and Beth Visit

Mom, Beth, Whitney, and Brooke came to visit us from wed to wed. it was so much fun. We went inside to pick them up from the airport and Gene was so cute he and Whitney became quick friends and held hands the whole way back to the car. Gene's chest was puffed out the whole time. More to come later.

Cleaning up the Church

For our joint YM YW activity this month we decided to do a full scale Church clean up. We had 47 people there helping us mulch edge and clean up. Everyone worked for 2 hours and we completed the whole thing. It has been long before John and I got married (almost 8 years) since the church grounds have been mulched and cleaned up on this large of a scale.  Gene really enjoyed the work. He loved to dig the holes and to put the plants into the holes. If you were doing something that he thought he could do he would say "let me help" and if you didn't let him help or ignored him he would say "your not letting me help", or "mom your not listening to me". He is such a cutie. BUT I think his (John's too) favorite part was driving the tractor delivering mulch with his daddy. This project wouldn't have happened if not for John and his willingness to serve in my calling lol.

Young's Jersey Dairy.

We finally made it back to Young's. The kids love going there because they get to feed all different kind of animals. Zion even got into it a little. The goats would eat the food pellets off his hands and then he would look at them in disgust, it was pretty fun to watch. The best part about Young's (at least for me) is the ice cream they make using their Jersey Cow's which is really good.

Lady killer!!

We dressed the kids in their Easter outfits this past week at church because of General Conference. I think Gene looks like a little ladies man. (Although those are his cousins..LOL) Zion is still not very corporative when taking pictures. He doesn't understand the bribes yet. I can get Gene to do just about anything for some

candy or another reward.

How To Train Your Dragon!!!

We took Gene to his first big screen movie. Gene was really excited about the huge t.v. screen. He was so cute with his 3D glasses on too. They didn't have any kids size glasses but the adult ones fit OK they kept slipping down his face. The 3D was pretty cool. We would ask him if he wanted something to eat or drink, he would say "not right now I'm watching my movie". The movie had some parts that was probably too scary for a 3 year old but when it was over and we asked him which dragon was his favorite he said the "big scary one" in a very deep serious voice. There were also some serious movie freaks there that were dressed up in dragon attire so we asked if we could get a picture. :) and the other pics are the boys in there happy meal viking hats.

Yeah He's walking finally

Well we went to his 15 month check up and the doctor said he should be walking by now. Zion must have taken that to heart because that evening while we were outside playing he started walking. When he would fall he would get right back up and start walking again. Now he is walking all over the house and will choose walking over crawling if he is not in a hurry. Gene just loves that he is walking around and they walk around the house together laughing. I caught Gene up in Zions crib again but this time got a picture.

Zoo Fun

The weather here has been beautiful the past week. Since it was also spring break Misty and the Girls came with us to the Zoo. It was packed because of the wonderful weather. Last season I bought a stroller shade extender and it worked great I was really happy with it. The kids really liked not being in the sun also. We all got to ride on the little train that they have that takes you around the North American side of the Zoo. Gene was so happy that the "Conductor" let him sit and take a picture on the drivers seat. It was a really LONG day at the Zoo. After about 4 hours we decided to head on home. It was the kids nap time so they both were sooo tired that they feel asleep before I had even left the Zoo parking lot. They were both very good little boys and didn't complain at all and were happy riding around in the stroller. I couldn't ask for 2 better boys. They are Great!!!

Easter!!

Easter was really fun this year. Gene really enjoyed hunting down the eggs. On Sunday we went to Donna's(grandma's) and had dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt. All the kids really enjoyed it, and the food was great... Zion got into the egg hunting also. His eggs were little balls and he would go after them and throw them in the bag. On Friday they had the Church Egg Hunt that is the first picture:)
