Every year here in Ohio we all go out and pick our own Christmas Tree. It is always super cold and super fun. This year Gene got to participate in the tree hunting. John and I always pride ourselves on picking the perfect tree so it took us awhile to find the one we wanted. Gene being the daddy's boy that he is had to help pull the tree sled around as we looked for our tree. Since it was cold we bundled Gene up pretty good. It was pretty funny watching him waddle around in his snow gear.(although there was no snow). At the end when we finally drag the tree all the way back we go inside and have some hot chocolate. This is the first time Gene has had Hot cocoa. I would say it was a hit. But of course he hated to wait until it cooled enough not to burn his mouth. All and all it was a very fun filled trip the the tree farm.

I think cutting down our own tree would be fun to try someday...as long as I don't have to drag it, saw it, or lift it!
What a fun tradition. Is that a tree farm that you are in? Is it more expensive than a tree lot?
Little Zion is a beautiful baby boy and Grandma is coming to see him as soon as I am not coughing and blowing my nose. I can't wait!
